Sock Knitting

If you don't follow me on Instagram or Facebook you might not know what my greatest crafting achievement of 2019 was. I learnt how to knit socks !!!! I've always wanted to be able to knit socks, never been really bothered about knitting anything else but have always been jealous of my friends that have knitted socks, one even sent me a pair which I love to wear, especially when I'm wearing pink. Back in February a knitting guru was very patient with me and I have become addicted to sock knitting.

In 2019 I managed 17 pairs, some for my son and daughter, a few pairs for me, I tried long socks,short socks, trainer socks, patterned, plain all with gorgeous wool

Even a pair each of super sparkly Christmas socks

For 2020 I want a pair of fingerless mittens, I've developed Reynauds disease and get white fingers and toes, my toes are snuggly now but I find my fingers get really cold and stay white for along time. I can't wear gloves in the house so am hoping fingerless mittens might help and I'll still be able to sew and use my phone 🤣  I got a great pattern from Lesley Price aka mrs_moog on IG called Arthog Mittens (look on Revelry) and have finished one and am busy knitting the second up. Super sparkly wool again, matching my Christmas socks which I can't bear to put away just yet 😉
