Mindful Quilt Along
Back in November Sonia from Fabric and Flowers floated an idea on Instagram about a year long Mindful Quilt along
The idea being, you spend 15-30 minutes a day sewing, thinking, having some personal quiet time while hand stitching a 4" block. Realistically we aren't all going to manage that, I'm a non working stay at home mum and will probably struggle but Sonia has catered for that by offering 3 different designs with 20 blocks a month being the maximum to just 9 a month. We can all achieve 9 small 4" blocks a month can't we. I'm even going to cheat and machine stitch some if I'm getting stressed about keeping up. I'm a REBEL don't you know.
Today I've chosen my fabrics, they will need a good iron this afternoon and then I'm colouring in so I get some idea of what fabrics to use where. I'm going for a white for background pieces, some textures and Alison Glass. I fancied a black to make the colours pop but haven't got enough and it might end up living in the lounge so lighter colours will be better.
There is a private Facebook group, emails and IG to keep us all in the loop, I'm so excited to start.

There are some easy blocks, some applique and dreaded curve blocks. Hoping to get to colour in some of my sheet as the first block gets released tomorrow.
