Fat Quarterly 2014

I'm a bit late to the link up party as I've been in the UK since Sunday but shopping, entertaining children and a big trip to legoland Windsor have sorta delayed my post. So I blog at Pippa's patch and am coming to fqr14 just for the Saturday.

I generally look like this but have had the wild woman of Borneo look tamed now but please don't be shy, I love meeting new quilters.

I'll be sporting this name tag made by Birgit.
My quilting usually is simple quilts, lots of bags lately and with a techie family perhaps some lights may appear in my wallhanging and quilts.
I'm in knots, six pointed stars and large HSTs. Also have three siblings quilts to hand over and am in all the swops. So if you see me around (I am very large to miss) please say hi....

Primary Bee, June block

It's Amelia's turn again to post.

@sixmunchkinstitching its on its way to you today, hope Rachel likes it

The block for June was a churn dash. She wanted blue and purple fabrics. I hope she likes it when she gets it. I liked making this one cos it was easy and fairly quick to make.

Vacances

Vacances is French for holidays and yes our school holidays have started with a bang on Friday evening. We sat and watched the footie, not the result we'd hoped for but makes it easier for me to be taking the kids away to England on World Cup Final day lol...

Look how much they've grown, matured and learnt so much this school year. #firstday and #lastday of school 2013/2014
This is a piccie of my kids, one whole school year on, they seem to have matured and grown so much taller and slimmer this year, Amelia is a proper girl now and not so much my baby with bossiness :)

My parents new puppy, rescued pup as found at side of road outside dogs home only 6 weeks.....
Saturday was all excitement as my parents got a new puppy so there were tears at bedtime when my hubby refused to get Amelia one and even the possibility of another labrador at some point would not placate her.

@fatquarterly sample swops finished, 2 owls and one fox. All prepped and packed for #fqr14 now
Here's my mug rugs for sample swops at Fat Quarterly Retreat, I machine embroidered them and then quilted with some Aurifil 50wt and while watching Wimbledon final this afternoon i've sewed all the binding on and they are all packed up with my other stuff. I have to sew 3 labels on the Siblings quilts before a week Saturday :)

I'm feeling fairly organised in that I have all my class stuff, Fugly and swop stuff all done, labeled and packed :) now just to sort out clothes, passports and stuff to keep the kids quiet on the journey. We leave next Sunday so I might be quiet for a few days especially as I'm ferrying around children to kids clubs and swimming during the hols.
