hehe I just had to post this recipe, so that when i'm searching I can find it easily in the future.
This morning it was raining, cold and blowing a gale, we're due for a few days of quite chilly weather and possibly even having to light the furnace for the first time. I know though that we'll get it lit and then be stripping off because we're so hot, so I'm trying to just layer us up a bit. Anyway, I was in need of comfort food and it was about 11am, what's a girl to do, go searching for chocolate chip recipes lol...
The recipe is from a french blogger Chocolatetcaerera and i'm closing my eyes at the new recipe that's been posted, chocolate shortbread brownies, they look truly delish
Anyway, for the cookies (English translation)
220g Plain flour
2 level teaspoon baking powder
190 g de light brown sugar (I used tiny bit of brown I had left and normal caster sugar)
120 g salted butter (I used cheap margarine lol)
150 g chocolate, I used about 80g by the time the cook had some and just cut them into big chunks with scissors
Preheat oven to 180c. Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl, beat it until creamy, add the egg, flour, baking powder and chocolate.
Mix quickly but not too much, we want the dough still *light* make them into balls, put them on a baking tray and squash with fork.
Cook for about 8 minutes, leave them to cool and eat while still slightly warm with a large cup of coffee while your kids are at school.... lol
DH thought they were shop bought and then accused the dog (that had just gone outside) of stealing it and had to go find another one to have with his coffee....
Definitely one to keep yum yum
