TGIFF

I'm linking up to TGIFF today and quiltmatters is hosting and showing off her sewing machine cover, I must make a few of them.
It's been mentally busy here and Wednesday involved a visit to the supermarket to buy some cupboards for the sewing room, DH built them for me and I spent most of the evening filling up the cupboards, it looks much bigger and as dh said *more homely* now the frame isn't in there.

The cat is sitting on the dog bed and the bin is on the ironing board so that the puppy hopefully won't eat it lol...

I sat last night and finished off the binding on Amelia's Zig Zag, the weather was pretty grotty this morning which is why I'm late linking up, but a small amount of sun peaked through this afternoon and I ran outside to take the wall shots.

I love the backing fabric (ikea) and hope to pick some more up when I go to UK for FQR.
It's finished size is approx 74" x 50"
and it's pieced with Aurifil 50wt and quilted with the variegated pink 40wt number 4660

Fabric is crazy daisy by Benartex with moda snow.

I also worked on two wonky star bee blocks today, I've never made them before and we had our own colour choice just shades of the same colour, I chose aqua and orange.  I really enjoyed these but probably not enough to make a quilt any time soon

and my last bit of quirkeyness a bin sticker from lidls, it's probably the talk of the french neighbourhood but it makes me smile everytime I look at the horrid bin :)

Now, i'm sitting and blog hopping for a bit, tomorrow is football at stupid o clock in the morning :(

Happy Weekend !!!!
