Today I'm linking up with TGIFF ,

I finally got around to stitching my hexagons that I started at the Fat Quarterly retreat (remember Angela from Sizzix cut the mini charm pack and papers into hexis for me, before the dies came out in the uk) onto pretty fabric, it's red with white stars and on the reverse green with white stars... pretty placemats for my mum and dad, that should brighten up their Christmas table. I used some heat resistant batting that I've had lying around for ages, didn't quilt them too much as they really didn't need it.  I loved how easy they were (look quite professional with the corners) and am planning on some for us, day to day ones, perhaps personalised and some Christmas ones, perhaps some applique snowmen or maybe just more hexis...

But i'm busy getting on with the cute dragon quilt, I'm loving it all...think it's going to be my favourite ever quilt :)
